They tried to catch it in time, the world was supposed to become a better place. Governments and people had finally started towkring together and towards a greater good. Nuclear power plants were being pulled down and wind, solar and wave energy harnessed. Something went wrong. Checks weren't done and instead of being taken down properly nuclear power started to leak everywhere. It was Fukishima on a worldwide scale. It wasn't just the waters that were polluted. The ground, the air, all of it. If the radiation didn't kill you quick, the toxins that leeched into the air from everything else did.

Masks were issued to try to stave off some of the affects, and for some it worked. But in the issuing, everyone lost their face, and after a time... their lives.
