I love categorizing things!
One thing I've always wondered is what people think of all the different body types dragons have been depicted with and which is their most favorite in specific to the anatomy of the hips and torso - ignoring head, wings, feet, tail, etc.
So I made this little breakdown of the different kinds I see a lot and tried to re-create them as basically as possible.

PS: The body types I tried not to make too muscly or obese (deferring mostly to bone structure), because that is another variable character trait to put on top of any body type!

If you read my post, I was asking about the body type while keeping the head and feet generic/unchanged and not having any wings. Sorry if that was throwing you a curveball

I'm actually SUPER picky about my dragons- not sure why? The only two that really come to mind as 'DRAGONS those are dragons' in my mind would probably be Smaug from the recent hobbit films and that gorgeous white dragon from the last...? i think it was the last Harry Potter movie.
I used to be not so fond of his appearance, but the dragon from Merlin has grown on me as well. He's got what I consider to be a very-dragon body, though I'm not overly fond of his head.

Fat Eastern? I did not include that one as I had viewed it as a modifier on the existing serpentine body type. The general bone structure would be the same ~ just fat! Unless there is a common belly-heavy eastern dragon body type that would require significant skeletal change that I don't know about - if there is let me know!
Hydras I did not include because I saw them more like serpents or non-dragon mythical beasts. Hydras are still cool though! Mebbe I should draw some!
