Trying to paint up some backdrops for an AGS project I'm working on. I'm gonna have to pass on this one though, it's become apparent that I'm going to need a smoother paper to avoid that watercolor-paper texture.
So here's failed attempt #1.

Please be kidding; failed attempt? :[ I'd give anything for these skills, this confident use of colour and soft graduation, like from white to the warm yellows and oranges around the sun. Also, I think the paper texture adds to the whole homemade, traditional feel. I've yet to come across watercolour paper that doesn't buckle horribly, that's one of my main gripes with the medium, or maybe I'm using a bit too much water.
