I think it's wonderful. Except around the sun, the texture helps add to its aesthetic value.

As a stand alone piece of art that is quite an excellent landscape. But no it's not really backdrop material, it's more stand alone material.

Yes.
But alas there are no art supply outlets nearby.

The best one in my area is a Michaels, and they're really overpriced. There are some online art places though, but I kinda hate ordering things online. When I need something, I like to be able to get it right away.

Sometimes the traditional rougher look is actually really apealing to some people... as character, and I always liked it. If anything, I've certainly sceen worse. *shrug*

Please be kidding; failed attempt? :[ I'd give anything for these skills, this confident use of colour and soft graduation, like from white to the warm yellows and oranges around the sun. Also, I think the paper texture adds to the whole homemade, traditional feel. I've yet to come across watercolour paper that doesn't buckle horribly, that's one of my main gripes with the medium, or maybe I'm using a bit too much water.

Try investing in a block of paper, it remains stretched as you paint so the paper doesnt warp. I'm ordering some myself.

A good landscape isnt an east thing to do, it takes a lot of keen nature and industrial observation that I simply havent indulged in yet.;

Never would've thought about landscapes in the same facet as anatomy, to be honest. But since you put it that way, I just suddenly became seriously interested in making a couple. XD
