This has been saved on my computer for quite a while, and i was hoping to share this with you before it becomes outdated.
It has been a very long time since i wanted to draw Maria Darkskolf, thus been shifted into other works, or personal matters.
THis was a peice of work i have been working on... unfortunalty never got around to finish it - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/540666/
As some of you may notice, i used the exact same background (the same peice of paper as a metter of fact)
Im too scared to ink it, since i cant find a pen thin enought to fill the lines, made by the sharpest of pencils ever sharpened in the sharpening pencil history of scream.

No joke: even unfinished, this in the top five macro pictures I've ever seen. Not only does your background detail trump just about everyone else out there, but your characters and figures have come such a long way in such a short span of time it's mind-boggling. She's gorgeous, gleeful, and gargantuan (thus meeting all of Phrog's Requirements For the Ideal Lady) and the imagery is so well conveyed this scene will likely be rooting itself firmly in my dreams for a while now. I'd say you've done your job.
Your penciling is so strong and so detailed, I'm not surprised you're hesitant to ink...still, a work of this quality deserves some finishing. Have you considered digital inking? It seems like a good fit in this situation. I'm sure there are plenty of folks here who'd be happy to show you the ropes on that one. Hell, you might even move into color CG eventually ;)
ps. Is that meant to be the Union Jack on her bikini? I'd salute that flag :3

Having this peice, one of your top five truly made me very happy. thank you!
Well yes, i have considered (many times) to post some digital finished peices - but - inking with a mouse is impossible.... and i cant afford the time.
I was thinking of having somone inking them for me, but i dout anyone would even bother... if you know somone who has the nerves to try, tell then to give it a go :)
hehe, yep, the union jack it is... obviously not the confiderate one. thanks again SPhrog for the comment and fav!

Oh, I'm not going back to pencils. That scene is over.
What I need to do is bring back the detail of the linework I was acheiving back then, and using that as the basis for the computer part of the work. At the moment I'm just skipping paper entirely to just draw onto the screen and save time. But it doesn't give me the room to move around the image and add detail like sitting over a sheet of paper did, so I loose out that way.

I'm sure there are pens out there that can match your thin pencil lines even the artist's common brand Micron have pens with tips at 0.005 in measurement. You might want to check out art pens that have a large range of sizes at the art _stores_ in your area. That's if you are still crazy to complete all those lines. :)
