Re-submission from deviantART.
"Should I turn on the floodlights to shine in your eyes,
Just to get you to speak and explain why you let it die?
This new chapter in your life, read it over once or twice.
Burn the pages, not the bridge.
Sew your wounds without a stitch.
Promises are broken.
Tell me, are you happy now?
Drowning in the hourglass, I guess our time ran out.
I hope you're listening.
You don't even bother, anymore.
You cut to the bone.
Pick up the phone to hear my swan song.
You don't even bother anymore.
You left me alone; I'm on my own.
Tell me where we went wrong."
Again, this is another concentration piece in my AP art portfolio, and it's taken a lot of work. Clearly, it's a very personal piece, and a lot of emotion has gone into it.
Before questions are asked, no, my girlfriend has nothing to do with this. We aren't going through any difficulties, and actually we're pretty darn happy. In fact, this piece has nothing to do with romance or romantic relationships at all. Still, though, it is pretty personal, and if it receives drama, I will turn off comments (though I hate doing that and I really love getting feedback, because little else gives me so much help in bettering myself.)
I'm incredibly proud of this piece, though there are still a lot of places where there's a great amount of room for improvement (but that gives me something to work on, doesn't it?). Soooo, yeah. I thought I should post this here, especially since I've been so dead on here. xD So I hope you enjoy.

Textures © Sirius-sdz on deviantART (Seriously, check them out if you haven't. They are absolutely fantastic and it would be absolutely worth your while.)

Elapsed amount of time this took: About 4 and a half, maybe 5 and a half hours. It has not been easy, and like I said, this piece means a lot to me. Please, please be kind.
