It took him roughly an hour to get his wings fully extended, but he continued resting for a while after to get them stiffed up to fly.

that is so awesome! i was fascinated watching the butterflies at the butterfly nursery, but didn't see to the point of their wings all stretched out.

Thanks. :D He's really something! I thought they were beautiful before, but nothing compares to seeing one so close and getting a view from all the angles you could ever want. Most of the time he's pretty still, too, so a great subject to draw from life!
