It had to be done.
Short story:
A short pretty lynx woman was chatting with some of her buddies by the park as Ari walked by on her way to the playground. The grown ups were all dressed in lose fitting clothing a lot of it had military like symbols and camo. Most of then were tall guys so the pretty young woman stood out a lot though she dressed the same way. Ari didn't fully know what the clothes were about but had seen important people wear stuff like that so she stopped her curiosity getting the better of her. Ari heard one of them use the lynx girls name, Star.
Ari had found out at school earlier that week from some friends that she could wish on stars. "Well if a star is right next to you it's gotta make your wish more powerful right? " she thought to herself. Gathering her courage she walked up to the lady and tugged at her pantleg to get her attention. Star turned and looked down at the little girl unsure how to respond, not being very used to kids, but she didn't have to. Before Star could even ask what she wanted with her Ari found her voice. "Hey miss Staw ca' I wish on yoo pease?" she asked remembering her manners. Star and her friends; all looked at the cub confused at first some having trouble understanding through her lisp, but as each of the grown ups realized they began laughing at the two girls. Star stood there confused a while then just shrugged at the kid deciding not to crush her dreams silly though they were. The little girl wished for all her friends and the pretty star to be happy then skipped away to the playground, missing the scene of the lynx growling at the men and wrestling a few for making fun of her name.
Hope that was properly in character I couldn't help it I had to do this.

*Scoops Ari up* Well I hope your dream comes true kiddo! *ruffles your hair*
<<This was a lovely little story, and yep Star would just let you get on with it. She's not quite so wary or scared of children who can actually speak or walk around, Any child over about 4 is fairly safe for her, if anything she enjoys messing with them telling them fibs to see if they'll believe her and making wild stories up because she knows children are gullible. Its more the crying pooping tiny baby types that shes sorta scared of>>
