rancid has a webcomic, and needed a logo, so he held a contest.

This is what I came up with. He wanted to be able to put it on a business card, so I created a design that would be readable and distinct at a small size. Although I prefer the bottom version with color because it works better visually, the top version is just in case his printer wants an arm and a leg for that small dash of red.

The red in the color version, by the way, was inspired by the original webcomic, which uses only black, grey, white, and red.
