A year had passed and the wolf had learned how to walk upright steadily, run, and even scavenge. His heart remained as a part of the wood even though many many more preferred the city and took to it as readily as the humans before them had. The wolf only went into the city when absolutely necessary and avoided it at all other costs. Unfortunately only certain supplies could be gained in places like cities. Eventually there would come a time when that was no longer needed but for now it was a necessary evil.
