Brutus, named after the infamous slayer of Julius Caesar. He is 85" and
weighs a LOT. Heaviest pelt I own, except perhaps Bramble my complete
piebald doe, but she's not home yet. He will be even heavier when the paws
I bought for him arrive this week. You can tell he's huge due to his tail which
touches the ground when hung above my door! Compare to my other wolf
shots like this and you can really see his size. He hangs funny due to being
ventral cut. Will be headdressed or soft mounted.

I get it a lot, but unfortunately it's usually from kids or very uneducated young people. I get slammed for poaching or killing endangered animals,
when I have to sit here and try to explain to these people that wolves ARE NOT endangered, and culling predators is necessary to keep their
populations diverse and healthy. I also do not poach, heck I don't even hunt or skin animals myself due to lack of a space freezer currently.
But they never seem to understand that I buy these animals to make them into something educational and beautiful after death.

Culling of wolves in the US is actually completely unnecessary. However, if you didn't kill the animal yourself, I don't understand why people feel the need to come and attack you for having your pelts. Besides, a lot of the messages I see about taxidermy are really rude and uncalled for. I'm sorry you gotta deal with that. :/
I don't really understand it. I guess it's just people who don't bother to even Google if wolves
are endangered and whatnot. My favorite are the people who call me a monster for killing wolves,
then say it's totes cool to kill deer or cows or something. I'm like "Ooh, favoritism, aren't you
just a knight in shining armor over there" xD

Oh yeah!! because if it's not cute and fluffy like a puppy dog then no one should care about it at all, right????
Like I genuinely don't think that trapping or killing of predators is necessary but a lot of the people who are "against hunting" really do only care about foxes or wolves (Never coyotes, though!!!! huh weird) and that level of favouritism is kind of annoying :////

I would adore to see him soft mounted! Especially due to his awesome size and beautiful coat, I feel it would be a better use of the pelt than just a simple headdress. You can show it off a little more that way, you know? Not to mention the amount of practice you'd get soft mounting that beast.
Haha gosh I would not soft mount him myself! I know I could do it, and do a semi-decent job, but my friend
does all my wolves! She's got my white wolf Pigwidgeon right now and is soft mounting him. I'm going to wait
until I get Pig back (and by the way she only does the heads, I sew the bodies) to decide what to do with
Brutus since he would make an absolutely GIGANTIC mount. I have a 79" wolf here beside me I was soft mounting
and even she is WAY big!
