*** This is not a real tutorial! Just the way I do it, but I can answer any questions you have***
1. The pattern! I use two patterns with each piece. One with darts for the outer fabric and one without for the inner. Depending how big the darts are will determine how outwards the final pads will be.
2. Cut out pieces. I like to give them lots of room in case of fraying fabric. The outer material is minky and the inner material is a matching cotton. You can try it with other kinds but these two are what I prefer.
3. Sewn. I sew them inside out all the way around. When I get too the darts, I sew them as I go. I will also trim off extreme excess material at this point.
4. Right side to stuff. I usually cut a slit on the inner fabric to turn it and stuff it. Depending how small the pads are, this can be a pain to do. I also like to make all my stuffing balls about the same time before I put them in to help keep them about the same size.
5. Stuffed! This can be tricky to do. I also keep the first one as a reference while I stuff the rest to keep them about the same fill rate.
6. Sewn together and finished! Just a nice straight stitch along the back and they are ready to go! The palm pads need one more thing though.
7. Soft sculpting. This gives them an even better look. You can mark the back material if you wish or just "eyeball" it like I do.
Any questions, please ask! I will be making a part 2 while I work on the rest of the paws and will include how I will be attaching these, but I sew them in normally.
