The assignment was to draw a landscape that included a barn. I found one on some public land that fit the bill. Who knows when it was built. But, had signs saying not to enter, as it was unsound. Still, I think it looked great and I do believe it's one of my best drawings, to date. So, I thought I'd share.

I made a similar comment to the teacher when I handed this piece in. Went something like how at the start of this course, I never believed that I could produce anything even remotely this good. Though, she did give me a quick tip on how to draw the gravel and the background trees. About 30 seconds of help was all it took.

I had used a combination of the lesson about how to use a focal point to bring together merging lines with the practice of using a ruler for straight lines. I wouldn't have expected the end result to have come out anywhere near this nice.
Now, if I can keep up practicing for five years...I'd expect this quality at that point.
