Our shed collapsed in January. Crushing a tree we planted a couple Earthdays ago. But come Spring the shed was still laying around and the tree still buried. But I noticed buds on it, then leaves. It was still growing. Today I finally got frustrated enough that the shed was still on the tree that I went out there and moved everything myself (spiders! Aaaah) I found some scrap wood and rope and propped up the tree and I am hoping it will keep growing. Some house sparrows have already perched on it a few times enjoying their new resting spot.

Well done, it is amazing how trees recover from what we believe to be an utter disaster. In a storm my friends small shed did the same thing on one of her trees about five years ago. We fixed the shed, we staked the tree and bound the broken stem, trimmed the damaged branches, it is now full of fruit and still alive and well. *hugs*
