Collaboration with Brian Reynolds: Character Layouts
Brian and I thought about what might be an amusing picture to do as a surprise gift for Romeo (Romeo Rabbit, host of The Rabbit Hole).
The first set of images are thumbnails Brian sketched. We talked about what the final image might look like, and opted for them laying across from each other.
Brian then did a digitial inked layout out. There are a few things in the color version I left/added out from the inked version (how her brow curves, the box became a foil wrapper, the tossed chocolate cube is no longer box shaped, and Romeo has whiskers).
Below is my final color rendered version. I lost track, including the background I probably spent between 12-16 hours, split up over a few days. I spent 4.5 hours last night finishing everything. Romeo got to watch.
