And: RIP indeed, Herr Geiger. Thank you for all the genius and weirdness.

It's sometimes really hard for a person like me (I know how to play drums but that's pretty much extent of my artistic skills) to say thanks to a person like him, an awesome artist and in a way, an inspiration for me in many ways. I never knew the man, but through his art i'd like to think I kinda did.

I knew what this piece was inspired from before I even clicked on it. Our world has sadly lost yet another visionary and brilliant artist.... At least he will live on through the work of other artists that will continue to be inspired from his work, so at least in a way he has gained immortality.

Giger was someone I highly respected, not did I know him as a child already (my uncle and dad visited same class and lived in the same town... my uncle is the guy from the cellar/gun-accident should you know his biography) but during the fantasy genre crisis in Switzerland it helped me stand up and say: look what a great master can do. His design is foreverlasting unique and a lot in this genre would not be the same, had he not given influence. Than you, Hans Ruedi, may you rest in peace. Alectorfluffy, with this artwork you have once again outdone yourself. it gave me a smiling eye to my tearfilled one. Thank you darling <3

I too miss the glorious H.R. Giger. I remember learning about him and his art in 4th grade and I have never stopped loving his work. He was a great man who created great things.

als ich am Morgen den Bericht in der Zeitung zufällig gesehen habe war ich total traurig.
Ich hab zwar nie genau gewusst, WER die Kreaturen aus Alien und so gemalt hat, aber als ich gecheckt hab, dass er es ist, war ich total niedergeschlagen, weil ich diese Designs einfach mega find.
Dein Bild als Tribut und dann noch so aufwendig detailliert ist einfach mega!
