Maybe some of you are curious how I work. Is not a process I always do on all my works, I love to research new techniques.
Step 1: SKETCHING- I love sketching by hand, you can do whenever you have a little time, it's relaxing, it hurts less the eyes
Step 2: COMPOSITION - I did this on computer, I designed how would be the composition of the scene, which elements would it have, rule of thirds...
Step 3: BACKGROUND FLAT COLORS - For the correct perspective, I used to put geometric figures with photoshop with lasso tool and rectangles.
Step 4: DETAILING BACKGROUND - Now that I know my perspective is correct, I start making the background that is almost not seen, and it be covered with more elements.
Step 5: ADDING ALL THE FUN DETAILS - This part is really fun, to put a lot of details on the background. I expent a complete night doing this.
Step 6: CHARACTER FLAT GRAY - It's easy, it's just to contour with brush the character's perimeter, and fill it with bucket.
Step 7: SHADING THE FLAT GRAY - Oh I love this part too, to check where is the lights and start shading with black, playing with opacities.
Step 8: ENLIGHTING CHARACTER - And I enjoy a lot doing this, I start with paws, then hands, clothes, and the last is the head, and the very last are the eyes, because it's boring for me shading paws and hands, I prefer to let the funniest at the end. I do this just with blacks and whites.
Step 9: COLOR LAYER MODE - This is easy too, just on a new layer with color mode I put the colors I want, that's all, the hard work it's already done on the gray version.
Step 10: COLOR CORRECTION - Because is not just perfect, I put a lot of selective parts corrections to make the scene cooler.
I enjoy a lot looking works of artist like this, the steps that they did for finish their work, so that's why I shared this. I hope you liked it.

on each step oscilattes, because the sketch was quick to do it, it was about 10 minutes, but for example coloring the background was 4 hours, shading and lighting the character was another 4 or 5 hours, coloring was quick.
An average of the complete frame was 10 or 11 hours
