I have that weird feeling of having two timelines there. One with our main protagonists discovering a city in ruin, and one with the fig-enthusiast bear in the past, in a parallel cut hiding astuciously a flashback.

I might be wrong, though. May be. Probably am. Definitely.

I watched a movie where the victims of a seriel killers ghost are forced to unknowingly live the same day before or during their deaths over and over again for all eternity. Is this similar to that perchance? Or is it like an overlapping dimensions or mind trapped illusion thing I wonder? OH the suspense, WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?!?!

Hmm...I'm thinking it may have something to do with that "warlock" earlier perhaps, and that everyone in the town is dead, but don't realize it due to the magic involved. They think life is going on as normal, oblivious to the fact that the days are going by without them aging, but their spirits in the "illusion", as it were, are serving some malevolent force.

This would be more thinking out loud then talking to yourself. The latter implies your holding an actual conversation with yourself then just expressing your thoughts.

I... seen it before? o.O Was this inspired by Neverwinter Nights? There's a part that has a lost town stuck in the same day for all eternity due to a crime so foul and complex, the gods themselves put the town in limbo until a suitable 'Judge' could be found. At least, that's how I remember it. Am I close?
