Written after spending a few minutes and with a large fish inside of an aquarium today. I just couldn't get away from the parallels. (And, just for the record, although it does seem to do a mostly-fine job of properly labeling me, I'm just not too fond of the term "otherkin." In either case, the only reason I used it here was that it was far easier to communicate the thought in one word instead of a whole other stanza that just would have felt shoehorned in there. ; ) )
A new meter for me too: a line of primus paeon tetrameter followed by a line of secundus paeon trimeter. No, I didn't think you'd care, but there you are.
Anyway, if you were foolish enough to click on this and actually read it, I hope you get your 2 minutes worth. ; ) Maybe it'll give some comfort to someone out there who struggles with the same kind of difficult feelings. And, to the rest of you, maybe it'll help you understand what it means to feel them.
Thanks for looking.
