Not completely true... Normally, I would simply draw in faded outline in black ink and then go over in colours. Of course doing it that way, the pony don't come out as nice as all this! :3
Anyway! This is how I draw my ponies if I wanna do them a little more nicer! :D

Oh I see.
I was told to change the settings that was on SAI in the top left hand corner that slowed down the pen, giving me more control.
I make it quick at the very start to get the image there, like I did with the pink lines at the start in this very image :3
then I slow it down to get control and make them 'smooth' lines ^u^
