I don't know what stage of a campaign you have to be in to pull this one out but, I don't think things are going well for the candidate who put this ad together. Still, it did give me a chuckle when I checked my mailbox today.
By the way, don't be fooled that puppy will pee on your rug (the most devious candidate of all).

I'm trying to figure out the thought process behind this ad. The phrase "look good for conservatives" implies that most conservatives are terrible, which is an idea that will only play with people who weren't going to vote for the people being attacked here anyway. Is this just another example of people (the ad designer in this case) being completely unable to realize that viewpoints other than their own exist, and to adjust a message accordingly so it will make sense to the intended audience?
Well, on the flip side of the mailer it then lists what actions or statements each of the pictured candidates has taken (according to said mailer) that goes against what is commonly said to be the important values conservatives. Then, it notes that the candidate who sent out the mailer is the rock solid conservative choice who never said or did anything like that.
I'll give the ad this much credit, I noticed it. It made me laugh. However, the would be senate nominee has had a string of gaffes that don't play well in the media, has really blended into the background during debates, and early on had to shuffle his staff around due to a bunch of them quit. Currently I think he's in fourth or fifth place out of seven.
So... he's probably not going to be in a runoff unless there's a major shift in voting.

Eh it's more the facade of, "See how good and wonderful we are!? We share your values just look at us. LOOK AT US "
Every politician does it and then his opponents do the whole "That guy is full of it," thing.
Eh, I still say it made me laugh. It hasn't changed my mind on how I'm voting but it did make me laugh.
