Felt like taking a break from my current project since I'm stuck on the shading in it, so I decided to do my second ever sketch dump in the Wii U's Art Academy: SketchPad app.
Wanted to do something a little bit different with it this time so I decided to have a theme to it by illustrating characters belonging to friends of mine and others whom I've never drawn their character for before (although I did make one exception here by adding Alex Trefur, since I did draw him before but it wasn't the best version). Wish I could have fit in more from other people like I planned to, but the canvas size is rather small and I got a bit more carried away with details and cleaning up the individual sketches than I had originally intended to so that took away space and time to do so.
In any case:
Dylan the Armadillo belongs to McKnackus
Patches the Staff belongs to
rickanovas
Alex Trefur the Meerkat belongs to
arbokx
Felldoh the Squirrel belongs to FelldohTheSquirrel
Perry the Koopa Paratroopa belongs to BlooperKoopa19
It was interesting drawing all of these great characters, and it's something I wouldn't be opposed to doing again in the near future should time and energy and interest allow. Might do this for other friends' characters in the future; we'll just have to wait and see I suppose. Found it easier to work in traditional monochrome rather than do full color since I'm not all that great with traditional mediums as it stands. In this one, I took a few creative liberties with clothing if no one minds. Added an open shirt on Dylan based on anAnimal Crossing: New Leaf version of him that was drawn at one point, rolled up the sleeves on Patches' shirt and made the open section of it a bit looser towards the bottom, gave Alex the open flame shirt he's been seen sporting once in awhile before, and added a few extra accessories for Perry on the arms and neck and added a few extra details in his cargo shorts.
