With the kiln available to me it took a day and a half. I have to pilot the kiln over night which is where one leaves it at the lowest setting so it reaches about 1500F (815C) by morning when I would finish the firing at around evening time the next day. So around 18 to 24ish hours.
I used three different glazes on these that are responsible for the blues, greens and purples, there is also a white liner glaze. The oranges and pinks/reds are from the soda.

Its a firing that uses natural gas like propane which raise the kiln to 2300F (1260C) then when it reached temperature sodium carbonate is dissolved in water and sprayed in. The Sodium attaches itself to the silica of any bare clay it can reach and forms a glass coating. It also alters the glazes already on the pottery by adding more flux and making it belt more. The sodium is responsible for the orange and pink/red colors and its all food safe. =3
