I can FINALLY post this! I did this for the everawesome Digitalis/Lady Foxglove's birthday. The box is sculpted on, and painted, and lined on the inside with felt (and chocolates!)

I think I'm going to do one for the artshow. If I had more boxes, or knew where I could get some, I'd probably take orders. Ahh well, wouldn't know even what to charge anyway :P

in my opinion the only thing cigars are good for: to provide us with little wood boxes. :)

does it need special measures to make the putty stay on the wood?

Yes, I agree with you on the cigar box theory there! I need to find more (cigar boxes that is!)

Nope, no special measures that I took really. You just have to make sure not to get the goop everywhere on the box outside of the sculpture.

ah, I see. I'm asking because in my experience stuff like wood and plastic 'works' pretty much, and putty seems to harden up... so what you use is the kind that stays flexible, I guess? one day I'll try it out myself.

on second thought, comissioning someone might be more satisfying. :)
