The brick is my grab and go secondary EDC. It gives me additional and/or replacement tools should I need them. The brick is a large (yet small enough to fit in a shoebox) nylon folder style bag with an extra pouch attached. Contents include
A) two extra large bandanas, B) Casio G-shock wristwatch, C)Two extra magazines for D) Hungarian PA-63 handgun, E) Fisher Spacepen, F)Gerber knife sharpener, G) CRKT M-16 folding knife, H) 4 spare AA batteries in case, I) Lighter, J) 74 rounds of 9x18 Makarov ammo for (D), K) pouch, L) SwissArmy folder mil-issue, M) Leatherman MUT multitool, N) 4Sevens Quark AA flashlight, O) 2 more spare AA batteries in tube, P) Ear plugs, Q) flat tool bit set to fit (M). Not shown, Kevlar boot laces, additional small crap I forgot. I take the brick when I am going to be gone for an unknown length of time, like traveling to Phoenix, or other car trips. The Brick has it's own shoulder strap for carry if I don't have my Battlebag. (I almost always have my battlebag) but you never know. I like redundancy.

wise move. It is my understanding with the new phones it can't be turned off or it can be turned back on remotely. Now is that true or not I don't know. I stopped carrying one when they told me I needed to have one with all the fancy stuff when all I needed was a dumb phone that I didn't need some tecno geek to make work.
I got the (resin-plastic with a center divider and screw cap on both ends) AA battery tube from Countycomm.com. they have all kinds of cool stuff. I bought the other (orange) battery box on Amazon.
I have switched back from CR123 to AA as AA is far more common, I have tons of rechargables and solar chargers already.
4sevens make very good products (they are the up-scale wing of Fenix). I have 4 or five 4sevens lights. These have the newest generation of Cree diodes, are programmable (you can set the two features you like the most by adjusting the heads) They also have the strobe feature I love.
