This got a lot of popularity at dA so I thought I'd treat ya'll with this since FA is lacking in EddMarie goodies.

Ok so as far as what you said about Edd and Marie. I think of it like this.
Marie kanker is the kind of girl whos naughty, and so twisted on things, maybe she just needs that one person who is polite. I mean..in the show, we would never find out why the characters were the way they were, sooo d:
Maybe she had a rough past, and needed someone like that, but look I'm atteping to add logic to a cartoon that's the definition of "cartoon" XD

"Given her home life and the frequent fighting of the sisters, it's quite possible that she simply carries a lot of stress and simply needs someone who would be willing to care for her." And that someone she chose is Edd. Plus, given the fact the Kankers have three different dads with one mom, I could bet not having her dad around would be stressful.
