Lol-I always made my best sketches during school, on the margins of my notes, when I was supposed to be paying attention...

I actually pay better attetion to speech when I'm drawing at the same time, drawing (especially linearting and colouring) helps me concertrate. o.o

_{But we do not have many lectures in vocational school unlike in the upper-secondary, I did a lot better there cause I'm better at learning by listening rather than doing :P}

I doodled a whole class away once, and the teacher saw my page of doodles. 'Why didn't you take notes?' she asked me. so I started telling her what she was talking about as I pointed to each doodle. blew her mind.

I never could take notes and pay attention to the teacher.

Haha, I've done that exact same thing many times at my previous school, one of the teachers even asked me to proof if I remmebered after weeks and I still did ;D

I only wish I wouldve put those school sketches into a book or something in a proper order - I could probably remember most of the things with the help of those haha

Lol-I'm the exact opposite...If I started sketching on my notes it meant I had already tuned out the teacher-I am not able to multitask, lol, and I definitely learn by doing-listening to someone talk bores me and most of the time I cannot picture what they are saying unless I can see it for myself-this drives my husband nuts when he ties to describe to me something he wants to build or design...I have to make him draw it so I can see it, lol

But awesome that you can learn that way-I seriously wish I had such a talent!

I'm bad at listening when I can't doodle though, sometimes people feel I'm being disrespectful towards them if I begin doodling while they speak. And normally people who aren't the same do not believe that I work this way. So it makes things difficult a lot of times.

personally i doodle at school when i find what the teacher is saying irrevelant, usually because i already know what he's talking about. remember a quote of my History teacher in 6th grade "he makes X-files all by itself, we never hear him until he raises his head and when I ask, we are all ........ (insert hard to tanslate french expression here)"

sometimes i wish i hadn't thrown away all my college notebooks. i'm never really attached to things + i have a good memory (can sing by head all the song learned in music in 6th grade)
