Yeah that's actually how I started reading the series! At first I was WAY more into Tsubasa but now xxxholic is in my top ten favorite manga. ;v;

I was the same way actually, I originally picked it up purely because of the parallels with Tsubasa (which I was DEEPLY obsessed with in middle school) but it ended up being one of my absolute favorite series. Though the ending STILL frustrates me. Damn CLAMP and their weird open-ended conclusions.

Ahh, so you have done one of my favorite series. BTW, I am Watanuki. heh. Well not entirely, but the cooking, glasses, end encounters with the supernatural. And some other things I wont go into here. Series scared me that someone spied on my past when I first saw it, lol. Only the personality didn't fit, just the circumstances. Lets see the other characters.

Ahh cool! It's one of my favorites too, I'm a big fan of the supernatural/horror genre and CLAMP's work in general so it's just about the perfect combination for me. <3 Haha it's always weird to find a character that you can relate to like that! I definitely want to draw more fanart for the series when I have the time and motivation, all the character designs are just so lovely.

I'm on board for that. I love the main female character. Id tell you some other similarities about this story sometime, but not in this area. Would love to see her. back to this image. Another funny thing. I have glasses like that, and a pipe like that, which I have had for many years (long before the series). And I used to have short hair like that. Its scary to see it. I also collect Japanese clothing. My stuff isn't that flashy though, but I do wear it. And although I am nerdy, I am not wimpy like him, and embrace the supernatural. Ill have to tell you some encounter stories sometime. I'm trying to get up nerve to write about them. On that I am chicken, lol. I think in my scraps, there is a pic of me with some of my Japanese clothing on. Its original men's silk clothing, not costume. I have a few sources for antique clothing, and friends over there as well. if it were my choice, I'd happily immerse myself in a story like that, only id ditch the female schoolmate, and go for the boss, hahahah. I love all of CLAMP's stuff. X is another favorite of mine. Yes I vote for more CLAMP characters here!

Ahh yeah she was definitely my favorite female character in the series. <3 The only problem with drawing her is that everything she wears is insanely detailed so just looking at it I know it would be time-consuming to draw her. But I definitely will sometime when I get the inspiration and patience. ^^
Ohhh that's really cool! I have a yukata I got visiting Tokyo but I just have it displayed since I can't really find a time when it seems appropriate to wear it. It's a shame since it's quite pretty. ;;
X is super good! I should really rewatch it some time, it's been a couple of years since I have and I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

I need someone to burn me a copy of that, half my disks failed D: I am not online in a capacity to stream things.

When disks start to fail, I get nervous, as it means I have to shell out a bit to reburn a bunch before they get lost.

I am trying to convert to external hdd, but even those fail after 5 years. trying to keep it all for archive purposes.

Holy hell that's an impressive collection, I'm jealous. O_O

Butyeah I can definitely see that getting expensive. Anime already tends to run on the pricy side, having to replace it must be a nightmare. ><

Don't be jealous, come up and watch some or copy ^^. I am thinking of making an outdoor screen, for a projector unit I have. 25' diagonal!

Wow that sounds like it would be amazing! I'd love to be able to set up something like that, but of course it's not really feasible with a tiny apartment. xD
