Beautiful, fast and witty was he
Always doing something for a play
The shining star, the key
He led the show everyday
But little he knew
His lover wanted to shine
Vengeance filled her, and on cue,
They got him drunk on wine
When he passed out cold
They carried him off to the car
They were ever so bold
Throwing him in and driving quite far
Rural fields met their eyes
As they dumped his body, hidden,
And it was to his own cries
That he opened his eyes, unbidden
And what a terror he was shown
As his vision focused on the sight,
He let out a blood curdling moan
Carrion birds feeding in the light
Ripped and tore, did they,
At the soft flesh of his stomach
And it wasn't to his dismay
When he became drowsy and his life slipped away.
