Guess what I saw this weekend? =w=

Not gonna lie, Godzilla winds up being one of my favorite movies. Ever. It played out about like what I expected. I know a lot of people aren't happy he didn't seem to get enough screen time, but I felt he, along with the MUTOs, got plenty. Human action did make up the majority of the film, but I don't see much of an issue with that.
Regardless, I thought it was very well executed. The plot was driving enough (for me, at least) and I felt the actors did good. Cranston definitely stood out, but Johnson sufficed enough with the help of Watanabe and Hawkins. But, people were there for the monsters, so I suppose I should talk about them.
The MUTOs were great antagonists. I definitely liked both their designs and the connection between the two was adorable. I loved seeing the male offer the female the nuke and their nuzzling before she took it away from him. They definitely got their scenes, but Godzilla was the one who took the show. He had several moments that really made you feel how awesome he was. Without a doubt, he's one of the major reasons you would go to see the film, if not the reason.
So, yeah, all in all, one of my favorite films. If the sequel happens (which, after grossing a 93 million in America alone this weekend, I'd be surprised if it didn't) I'd definitely be down for more Godzilla screen time, but I think I'd also be fine if they did their reveal similarly to this one.

So, as for this picture, I had to draw Godzilla because of how the movie made me feel. But I see him more as an old man than a chubbier guy like most people are saying. Is he a bit chubbier than previous carnations? Yes, but just the way he looks makes him seem older and more world weary. Which is cool.
Definitely another cool incarnation of the big G. uwu
