man if you did a crowdfunding for one of your own sneaker designs to become reality, i would greatly contribute to it, and im sure it would be a hit for all us paw freaks. needless to say you wouldnt have to worry about expensive breathable material, knowing how we want the 'after workout-result' to be XD
I don't believe there's any direct inspiration for that style, no. I think I just started out drawing something similar to Rexar's sneakers - which were partly based on some old Adidas and Nike styles I've worn in the past - and then changed them to give Rocky a distinct look of his own.
Can't remember now. Shoes do take me a while to draw though, and I very rarely draw them without any reference these days. The overall shape was based on a photo. To be honest though, what took me longer on this particular panel was getting the perspective on Mike to look even remotely correct, which it still isn't. But hey-ho.
MEEP!
I always wondered why some sneakers/trainers have super slippery puffy insides.
Now we know: it's to seal in all the juices!
Once warm and soft and sweaty, they're too slippery to climb out.
A simple trap!
I've found sneakers with plastic windows on the side
to see all the little friends inside.
If only I could modify my Reeboks with the clear sole
to have nothing between that and my foot to see the littles trapped inside!
