my ability to draw quickly enhances 100 times when i'm messing about at 2 am.
Wow I do not draw Miss Emily very much and I haven’t painted her since I first made her. She’s a side character in my story, but she has her own conflicts and problems that I like to develop, since she’s incredibly out of place in Limbo as a Reaper. Ramble ahead, sorry.
Emily is genuinely kind and sweet and largely a pacifist. She works as a receptionist in Limbo to get out of having to kill people or witness devastation and is tormented by agitated Reapers for this. Many find her pacifism and refusal to kill as a sign of weakness and cowardliness, so they use her to vent their own frustrations. She tries to appear happy and courteous, nearly constantly covering up her true emotions with ‘smiles,’ even though each criticism is another huge blow to her self almost non existent self esteem. She usually only expresses her escapist feelings and sadness through her writings.
Emily speaks through a voice box on her throat, which malfunctions when she’s excited or fluster, which is quite often. It’s a cheap device and the voice is mostly robotic. It’s very painful to take on and off due to it having to make an incision every time it’s used.
When she was younger she had normal features for her kind, but a chaotic deity in her dimension twisted and deformed her, leaving her with stretched scars all over her body and the loss of her mouth. This has led her to constantly covering herself up with long sleeves, leggings and gloves.
She also enjoys small cute things and collects trinkets whenever she can and becomes incredibly flustered when anyone compliments her.
