I was really, really bored today, so I sat down and made this for fun. A little repetitive for my tastes, but it's short and sweet.
It's basically made up of beats and layers of harmonic guitar melodies. It's fun to listen to, despite the lack of time put into it.

You should rework this into a whole song, it's certainly something to groove to, and awesome by most accounts... if not a bit repetitive like you said.
I figure if you made that harmonic guitar part the main rift and then added different musical elements around it, then as the rift came round and round again you could continue to build on it so it'd come to an epic melody and then die off (end song).
Okay... I shouldn't even give advice, I'm an extremely incompetent musician. Really though, I love this enough to encourage you to make it into a full length song.
