My Teemu story is maaaaany years ago I used to do the autograph hound thing to visiting teams in San Jose. I wanted to get whatever players I could most of the time.
Paul Kariya and Teemu came out of the hotel together. Selanne basically threw himself into the small group of fans, including damn near body checking me up against the side of the bus, while Kariya ran straight for the bus ignoring everyone. Selanne was very nice to us and signed a 400th goal (tells you how long ago it was) picture for me that I still have. I just found it hilarious that Kariya ducked the fans and had Selanne run blocker for him. In retrospect I'm glad he won a cup while Kariya just faded away. :)
Glad to see he wont be scoring against the Sharks anymore, but still the league is a lesser quality for having him leave.
