Itty bitty baby!
For those of you who don't know, this is my smallest girl, Jiu! I found her as an adult, and brought her in just to observe her behaviors and temperament.
She was fun to watch, as she was very active and exhibited what I can only describe as "digging" gestures with her raptorials when ever she sat still for a moment. Really cute!
To my surprise, this tiny girl laid a tiny ooth while under my care!
I monitored her closely there after to see how she was doing health-wise, and she seemed to be just as full of energy as ever (and continued to eat well). It had always been my intention to release her before too long. After all, it was the wild which raised her, not I. So I felt it'd be best for the wild to keep her, as well.
Confident that she had the energy and voracity to do well in her natural element, I released her yesterday into my back garden. She flew nimbly from my hand to land on a very fitting piece of foliage. I shot some last photos of her, and then left her to disappear among the dirt and leaves.
I only had her for about a week and a half, so releasing her wasn't especially hard for me (especially since I always assumed I *would* be releasing her). Even so, I do hope she lives a comfortable, long life out there!

absolutely! I've put it in a proper enclosure for it's size, and will see if we get any youngin's!
I won't be able to raise them, unfortunately--since I'm due to leave for a trip to canada around the time they're due to hatch! Drat!
Ah well, they'll populate my garden nicely :D
