When I was starting out this big tarot project, I asked 
schizowolf if he would do one of the cards. The Master of Swords was still available. He decided to pick that. This really awesome piece was the result. It started out with the rat on the throne and some engraving. After just asking if he could make the engraving stand out a little more, and the nice dark inlay and it was finished. Here is the second to last piece to the deck.

You might want to look into Cartamundi or thegamecrafter.com. And if you aren't familiar with Stack Exchange, they have all kinds of sub forums, like the board games one: http://boardgames.stackexchange.com.....ds-for-my-game. There is also a large DIY (Do It Yourself) crowd out there, too, so searching for DIY Card Games would probably yield some promising results.
