A character sprite I created in Photoshop using a template available at the Legasista NipponIchi website and imported into the game. =D
Legasista is available on PS3 digitally on PSN.

How to:
---READ THIS before anything!!!---
*Play the game until the Edit function is unlocked (not far in the game, it teaches you the basics then it unlocks features as you go)
*Create a Character. It doesn't matter the skin you choose right now. You can change it later. Pick voices, create dialogue, build the character as you see fit.
*If you're making a character with retro look and big pixels, select "sharp" on it's skin type or "smooth" if you're gonna make an high-def skin.
---Now for the good stuff---
-Download the Character Creation Kit: http://www.nisamerica.com/games/leg...../news/kit.html
-Edit the template in your drawing program of choice.
-Save the file as TRANSPARENT PNG <--important!!!
-Create a folder in an usb flash drive "PS3/Photo" and put your image in there. (if you're having trouble, save an image/take a screenshot and copy it to a usb flash drive and it will create the folder)
-Copy the image to your PS3.
-Launch the game.
-Go to Edit.
-Select a Character previously created.
-Go to Import Character.
-Select your Edit image.
-Save the changes!
-Play your heart out!
Important note for advanced editing:
-The grid can be hidden or kept that the game will ignore the grid's pixels. They're clearly for boundaries sake as the game engine recognizes each sector for a certain area of the sprite. (the template file has a dummy representing what each sector is)
-When in doubt what a sector is, check the pre-created character file.
-You can animate the hair and weapons layers for up to 3 frames. They are the 2nd 3rd and 4th collumn from the left. From left to right: frame 1, 2 and 3. The game recognizes the frame order as follows [2],[3],[1]. The weapon areas work the same way. Be mindful of this when you intend to animate hair and/or weapons. An example is that I used this knowledge to make a crystal on a character's scepter flicker.
-The game engine accepts opacity, so if you wanna draw glasses or transparent items, you can make them by changing opacity on them at the PNG.
Good luck n_n

I already digged the game back on the PSP with the ClaDun games, but they were 16bit style and you could only edit the head (the 2nd game allowed for more customizing), but Legasista allows for practically everything! X3
I love the game and it's a game I really wish was re-released for the Vita. It would be perfect there!
