The fire is actually a tufted fur. The yellow is about 1.5 inch long, with 2.5 inch tufts of orange and red.

I have a question because I've been struggling with a customer's tail. The fur on the very top that stick up/out, how did you do that? When I tried it made the tail very twisted. It's okay if you don't wanna share, I just thought that I would ask. Thank you!

The 'mohawk' on the tail is sewn as part of the tail like a normal pattern, but I hand stitched the edge between the red and blue so the mohawk has no stuffing, but still lays straight with the rest of the tail.
