One day, I was at
Fel's place preparing Califur. He asked me to practice to try to finish a sketch no more an hour for commissions. Since he was working on a commission about drawing a moogle character from FF series, I drew a moogle, too. In the end, I finished this sketch in one hour, and used about 45 mins for digital coloring.

a very cute picture! as to how much I would pay theoreticaly for this piece?well maybe $20 for the sketch and $15-20 for the coloring. so IF I wanted to buy it ,I`d say I`d figure to pay around $40 for it (give or take $5 ) Is that what you were asking is what a fair price for it would be?
well its not a bad wage.some artists draw so slow it takes them many hours to draw a piece and want to be paid good money for every hour they work on it.The buyer doesnt care how long it took. They just care about what the finished product is worth to them. If you can draw faster, then you can make more money. It is that simple. Also supply and demand are important. If no one wants your art, then its hard to sell it for even a dollar. But if many people want your art, then you could possibly sell it for hundreds of thousands or even millions (if they people who want it are rich) I figure a color piece averages around $40 or so.Some artists charge more. Some less popular beginners charge much less.Even if a fan thinks something is "worth " a certain ammount, they still need to have the money available to spend on art to pay that.
