Yeah, I have a soft spot for this game. ;P
The game hasn't exactly aged well (putting aside the fact it was on the SNES), but it's not BAD. I do feel it had some great ideas in its gameplay that could translate well to a modern Godzilla game. Rather than going in with guns a-blazin' (or rather, atomic breath a-burnin'), you had to "build" Godzilla's attacks, and the stronger his rage, the more powerful those attacks became (and some your opponent is immune to). Rather than jumping from fight to fight, there were things you'd have to do before actually FINDING the monster. Kinda felt like an "RPG meets tournament fighter" kinda game.
If we can all agree on one thing, the music was cool. :D
I originally drew the line art back in June of 2012. At the time, I didn't have an 11 x 17 scanner, so scanning it in to color wasn't immediately possible. But I think the wait 'til then was worth it, as this upcoming July marks the 20th anniversary of the SNES game (its release in the US, anyway). And be sure to find this as a print at G-Fest this year. ;)
