This was for my Digital Illustration class back in December, the final exam was to design a B-Movie poster.
Hee hee! Opened the floodgates, the instructor did.
OBVIOUSLY, I went the route of a giant monster theme. Usually, I associate the term "B-Movie" with being cheesy, and that's where the subject of a giant burger and hot dog came in. I looked to a poster of KING KONG VS. GODZILLA for the set-up of two epic monsters pitted against each other, using my tablet and certain brushes to give it a painted look that's aged over time. The monsters themselves I did sketch out, proportioned to be like a man in a suit to keep up with the monster movie theme. The credits at the bottom was my little nod to Jared Foust and Matt Frank. Speaking of Jared, I also made this with Lobsterdance's THE TERRORMISU in mind. Maybe a kind of spin off, like Gorgo or Yonggary compared to Godzilla. -> http://vimeo.com/33179915
