Yes, it's amazing how this movie has gained such a cult following without mass merchandising to promote the film to kids. You know? Apparently, the quality of this film was meant to on par with other top films in 1984, like Amadeus and The Bounty, and was never meant to be given the "Lucasfilms/Amblin" treatment.
