Haha it's actually super easy the way I do it :p

I paint a messy gradient of different colors in the sky and then blur them and blend them together with a soft brush. Then on a new layer I take a hard brush with lowish flow and opacity and paint cloud shapes. Then I take a soft eraser to shape them better and give them the illusion of being thick, thin, or flowy. I do some more details/blending with a hard brush with low opacity/flow again, then I pick some different colors and (really low opacity brush) paint over the clouds kind of randomly to give it some color variation. At the very end I try to add texture with random scribbles and dots. It's not that noticeable since I do it with a small brush on low opacity but I like the effect. :3
