Sorry about the quality of this picture (as well as the next few uploads) I tried scanning them in from my sketch book but it's A3 and my scanner is only A4 so I need to invest in a smaller book.

This is Van's initial design when I first started to him. From what's visible in these sketches he has three piercings on each of his ears as well as snake bites on his lips.

As far as markings go you can only tell from the bottom sketch that he has a brown patch under his chin as well as black fur traveling up along the sides of his neck and face. The rest of his markings aren't visible in his initial design as I was just working out his basics.

Also if anyone's wondering what that little picture that's cut off it, it's a piece of paper with a booty and top hat :P
