Sorry about the quality of this picture (as well as the next few uploads) I tried scanning them in from my sketch book but it's A3 and my scanner is only A4 so I need to invest in a smaller book.

This is my continued and more thorough design of Van, in this design stage I created his markings and colours.

Although you can't see it in this picture (I lost it while scanning) but Van has two tail, an adult and baby tail, This picture does show his adult tail, with the three colours. much like his adult tail is baby tail is both brown with a black tip although doesn't have the white base as of yet and is quite small and poofy.

The continuation of his marking are more evident in this design. His left ear is predominantly black with a brown tip showing on both the front and rear, whereas his right is fully brown (the black shown in the picture on his left ear is his hair). He has a black sort of streak the covers the top of his snout and travels up to his forehead where it thins out to almost a point, as well as having two small black circles on either side of this on the sides of his snout.

The black markings that started under his chin traveling up the sides of his face continue back and merge with his hair which is initially black at the back and fades into a brown apart from a single white streak in the middle which he normally has brushed to the side.

Apart from these markings his eyes are blue (left eye) and green (right eye) and his left paw is white and changes to black at his wrist and that continues on down his arm, on the other hand (pun intended) his right paw consists of three black fingers traveling to his wrist leaving the remainder of his paw white as well as his arm.

I will eventually do a full character design showing his completed patterns and details about him :)
