An idea I had while at work - use Natasha Bedingfields's song Unwritten and turn its message of hope into one of despair.

I don't usually listen to songs like this, but the message behind the chorus was really fun to twist.

Technically it's a songfic. It's also pretty short, but I write a lot of sub-1000 word pieces so this shouldn't really surprise you.

Just so you know - I always imagine the character in the story to be a grey, anthro wolf, but I find the story is a lot better to have it written faceless.

The title doesn't mean I'm done writing O_o it's just a "clever" response to Natasha's title.
