I was sitting around one night, my rambunctious crew having a party downstairs, when I heard a loud thunk from outside. I was concerned that something might have fallen from the trees so I went out quickly to find out what it was. Little did I expect this little guy to fall in front of and in to my arms. He was out for but a brief moment before flailing about madly and jumping from my arms, floating in the air before me. There was no point in being surprised now. Not after all that I've seen. With a frustrated look on his face, he handed me a note which I read, turned out to be from my friend:

I have a few more yet that need a home. It's still a little crowded here.
This is Starline. Take good care of him and keep a meal ready. He has a job so when he gets home, he is really hungry.
P.S. Also, keep an extra supply of band-aids around.

I couldn't help but snicker and mussed the creatures hair, causing him to give me several scratches along the length of my arm. After several words from him I invited him and the moment he stepped through the doorway, his figure shifted from the little floating feline to a five foot five walking female.
So I said there wasn't a point to being surprised but this really caught me off-guard. He... err... She explained that his... ugh... her kind change depending on their caretaker. Fitting to their personal tastes.
Still... it looks like I got another grumpy one.
