(This is the first furry character I ever conceived of, and I FINALLY got a drawing of him. Did it myself, but I think it turned out pretty good.)

Noboru "Foxblade" Hayashi is a kitsune warrior who comes from an era and land similar to that of feudal Japan. Having never met his parents, Foxblade was raised by his grandfather on the secluded Escanina Islands. While growing up he befriended the island doctor and aspired to become a physician himself utilizing the rare healing herbs found on the island. However, his grandfather was a tough and demanding man, training the young fox constantly to become a warrior before shipping him off to a military academy at a young age. On the day of his return to his home island, a terrible twist of fate occurred that would send him on a journey to find his true identity as a kitsune and acquire the blade of his ancestors, the Inori Subarashi (the magnificent sword forged by the legendary kitsune family Inori).

Foxblade acts like your typical teenager. He is a tad on the lazy side, seeks to be constantly entertained, and has an overly deserving attitude. As a warrior, he also has an overt sense of justice and an over-romanticized view of good and evil. Regardless, his heart is always in the right place, and he always stops to help others in need. He treats most people, especially his friends, with respect. Of course, that doesn't stop him from being oblivious or obnoxious at times.
