Did this a few months ago, I think in January? Never finished it cause I had the wrong Dimitri purples and did a knew sketch of him instead, Lekura looks like ass, and so do Neema and Delu. So I scrapped it. But I know there are certain people (*coughLAURAcough*) that like to see my shitty ass doodles.

Thank you SO much ; ; This was when I was experimenting with him some, pondering keeping purple/black or switching to red/black which I did eventually do… but I did keep to the same hair style, figured it was time for him to grow it out cause he's' a lazy ass. ;) Thank you so much beautiful!! <3
JjsjdjskwkakzNO!!! YOURE AMAZING OK?? ;__; I fucking love these and the fact that you're posting them even though you think they aren't good (even though they SO ARE). It's really making me want to upload more into my scraps because I have doodle upon doodle that I've done but no one ever sees. :[
I also want to upload some of my old art as well. I was also thinking of making a new account just for gifts that have been done for me by others over the years. I really need to crack open my old hard drive and retrieve all the art on it that I had saved from so many years ago or else I'm afraid I may lose them forever. :'(
But seriously, I actually LOVE seeing this kind of minimalist coloring from you! It's very different and bold! Even if it wasn't intentional, I really like the energy it brings to each drawing. I think you should try doing a little more minimal coloring like this! Just doing a very basic once over on pen sketches or whatever. I think it would give a really interesting grungy effect! :> Just try experimenting with different things! That's the best way I find to build confidence in my artwork. When I try new things, it's easier for me to let loose and stop being so critical of myself because HELLO I'm just messing around! so if I'm not liking how it's coming out, it's ok because I didn't have high expectations for it to begin with. But when I DO end up liking it, then it makes me want to jump for joy because not only did it come out looking really cool, but I have also given myself the feeling of like leveling up in art...for lack of a better term. X3 Haha!
But really, I would really love to see you play around with different mediums. I also find a lot of times that it makes me more motivated and inspires me because using the same old techniques over and over again gets dull. So sometimes it's just really refreshing to mix things up! Like, for instance, try different techniques with your markers! Try interpretive things, whimsical color pallets, different textures, mix different colors and play with shading and contrast, or do more things like this piece that are simple and pleasing to the eye. watercolors or watercolor pencil or digital or use different paper or canvas or cardboard! OR, better yet, mix any combinations of the above and do something completely random! Anything is possible! OuO I think it might really help you to feel better about your art, motivate you and inspire your creativity, loosen you up, broaden your horizons, and just allow your art to be more novel and fun for you again! It definitely worked for me! I think you might be surprised at how much good it can do you to just loosen up and have fun goofing around with different styles and mediums with drawing and coloring. :3
BUT ANYWAY. Sorry for the rambles as always you know I can't help myself. :[ I loves you so so so much my Jolyns, and thank you for being so supportive of me during my art slumps and every other type of slump I happen to be in. ;3; You are such an amazing woman. I could never tell you enough. <3333

FFFFTTT GOD.
YOU.
You make me feel amazing just posting shitty ass simple character doodles. I don't know how you do it. Look at this huge response you wrote me filled with so many amazing compliments and encouragements. It means so much to me you took the time to even write this! It is awesome you like how I did this kinda differently, I thought it was really just "unfinished" cause I'm so used to shading/completing pictures in my method that's become like a program being executed. I just go with the method I've used but I SHOULD try to experiment with other things. I should use colored pencils more again… or even dare try paints. I SUCK at painting and I"m not just saying that to be modest :p the most I ever did was use some gauche way back in the day and it sucked and in art class I sucked with acrylics so I just said screw it and stuck to markers and colored pencils then just evolved to all marker. I have that one picture I did with marker and colored pencil (of Eva, Neema and Lekura) and it added more detail but I felt it took me too long. But I've changed and grown so now maybe it will be more executable, and I'm more apt to try it nowadays. I should give watercolors a go…
SO YES I LOVE YOU SO MUCH thank you for always encouraging me and helping me feel good about my art and my characters.

Dij! It's old, but one of the better ones. I've kinda changed his form a bunch, hes a little more lanky monstery but I dont have any pics of that... :c He mostly lives in my head and not in art. I really need to draw him more ugh.

Oops, adding the pic of dij would help yanno. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u.....dij%20plea.jpg
OMG!!! I think I remember that pic you did way back when of all your characters??? You uploaded it yeah? Either way I still love it not just because it's of your characters, but the composition and way it's executed is really awesome… how they all flow out of Razerz in that shape and are symmetrical. I LOVE the new picture of Dij!!!! It is so cool to see him in your style now. I know what you mean about styles changing - it just kinda changes as we evolve I guess. Mine is still pretty much the same ;p But Dij is just awesome in that picture, love how he's looking up and how awesome you draw different anatomy types, like how skinny he is and how you can see his ribs. Devons still <3 Dij a lot he says hi u
