It had been her dream ever since she had dreams. It wasn't just the belt, as great an honor as that was, but she had finally unmasked the Desert Skull, the most notorious villain ever to step into the sacred arena. It had been a long, hard fight, and her opponent had used every nasty trick in the book, but she had persevered, at long last striking a blow more powerful than any suplex or submission hold. Nothing could take this moment from her, much like nothing could save her fallen foe from the bitter shame and defeat, his face bared to the world, live, across the world.
It was better than she had ever dreamed: the roar of the crowd on every punch and grapple, their lamentations when she fell. Without them, she could never have come this far; their hopes and dreams gave her the courage and strength to stand up to adversity and fight the good fight.
They always loved a good, straight fight. Clear lines in the sand; good fights evil, and they cheer for the hero. Now that the moment had passed, strange thoughts tugged at her. Who was this strange man? What made him so bad, and what good had she just accomplished? She was too busy performing a spinning piledriver from twenty feet in the air to think about it at the time, and for a brief moment, she wondered if this was really what was important in life. Then the crowd erupted into cheers again, twice as loud as before, and the moment passed. She had done it! She was the champion!
The VHS tape came to its end, and the TV went back to the familiar white noise that filled the airwaves these days. Nearby, the creature watching snorted once, then rolled over, falling deeper into her dreams.

jaeh which is an artist that I always really really liked. >_> I'm not really confident on how to deal with comission stuff so this was bought/organized to happen by
balina which also polished and edited the description from a very rough draft I made turning it into something enjoyable to read.
