There's nothing to read into; They're just being cute. It's one of those quiet moments that really make up the relationship;
Vinci is especially cute in this- it seem slike one of those moments where you sort of go backwards in time, mentally, and become a little kid- and Arty is probabyl about to cuddle vinch close =3
The details really bring out the best in this picture =3 helps bring everything together.
Insta-fave.

This is awesome!
The detail in the fur is wonderful (they look so soft).
A bit of personal grooming (and exploration) appears to be on Vinci's mind; but I think Arti's got something else in mind.
Arti be careful with that extended finger; feline claws (even Yumars) can do damage.

Ever since I've been watching your art, I've been curious about the tails on some of your characters. I've always thought the tip of the one character's tail was like the "Eye" of a peacock feather, but in your pencil sketch it suggests there's something more going on there. Is the tail tip like a big suction cup, or is it just a fancy fob made of stiff filiments and fluff?
It is actually a fin! Cartilage covered in shiny scales, and then more cartilage on the outside. :) The tail is also a lot stiffer and rigid than a regular cheetah tail, so it can act like a rudder. He can move it a little from side to side but it's pretty much supposed to be stuck in a "u" shape otherwise.
Too cute! I think you've outdone yourself this time Vinci. I've always wanted to see a really tender moment between those two and guess what? You made it all happen. Damn, I should wish for things from you more often.....Maybe a new toaster next.....x3 I'm such a dork, I'm sorry. But in all reality I really like it a lot. The detail is really good and the facial expressions are great as well.
Lovely work, as always, Ms. Dewalt. Your characters always convey such emotion with their expressions. I love the tenderness in both their eyes and the detail on the fur/shading adds to the dramatic flair of the piece. My one critique would be that the fur on Vinci's left arm (our right) seems to be going at odd angles. That's a difficult angle, in general, to detail fur from, though, so it's understandable.
